The highly-anticipated final trailer for Spy x Family: Code White has finally dropped, featuring Spy x Family's main characters Anya, Yor and Loid Forger, alongside other important cast members including Yuri Briar, Damian Desmond, Becky Blackbell, Fiona Frost, Sylvia Sherwood and Frankie Franklin.
The TOHO Animation YouTube channel released the trailer for the long-awaited movie late Sunday night, with Spy x Family: Code White set to premiere on Dec. 22, 2023 -- one of the most looked-forward-to anime releases of the year.
Spy x Family: Code White Trailer and Synopsis
The trailer opens with fan-favorite character Anya shooting a toy rifle in a carnival game while Loid and Bond watch from behind. The first part of the video takes place in what resembles a German Christmas market, with snow covering the ground and the Forger family bundled in their winter clothes. The trailer features several action shots of Loid (Agent Twilight) and Yor (the Thorn Princess). In one shot, Anya appears to be kidnapped and is later bound and gagged. The final shot of the trailer shows Loid struggling to take control of what looks to be the wheel of a ship.
Spy x Family: Code White was initially announced in December 2022 at Jump Festa 2023. The first trailer for Spy x Family: Code White released in June, to the excitement of fans worldwide. The movie will be an original story, following the Forger family as they attempt to win the Eden Academy cooking competition. They take a vacation to learn how to make the principal's favorite dessert in the place it originated, but along the way, a series of events threaten to destroy world peace, and it's up to the Forger family to save the day.
The Spy x Family anime, adapted from Tatsuya Endo's popular manga series, premiered in April 2022 and featured 25 episodes in its first season. The story follows the spy Twilight, aka Loid Forger, as he attempts to infiltrate the prestigious Eden Academy and establish contact with politician Donovan Desmond in order to negotiate peace between the warring East and West. For this mission, he creates a fake family with an adopted daughter Anya Forger, a telepath, and wife Yor Forger, an assassin. There are currently four episodes available of Season 2, with 12 total episodes set to be released. A trailer for the popular "Cruise Adventure" arc from the manga was released earlier this week. The first episode of the arc will be released on Nov. 4.
Spy x Family is available to stream on Crunchyroll and Hulu, with new episodes of Season 2 releasing every Saturday. Spy x Family: Code White will premiere in Japan on Dec. 22, 2023.
