One Piece: Luffy's 10 Best Finishing Moves

Monkey D. Luffy is the protagonist of Eiichiro Oda's One Piece, where he sets out on his journey to find the One Piece and become the King of the Pirates. Being a battle shonen cast, Luffy encounters tons of powerful enemies who stand in his way as the story progresses, and through sheer grit, he manages to overcome most of them.

Thanks to his highly developed skill with the Gomu Gomu no Mi and his refined usage of Haki, Luffy develops some monstrously powerful finishing moves with time and knocks out even the strongest of foes with them.

10 Gomu Gomu No Ougon Rifle: This Technique Was Used To Defeat God Enel At Skypiea

Another powerful attack of Luffy, Gomu Gomu no Ougon Rifle was a technique that he came up with to defeat Enel, the God of Skypiea. This technique was conditional as it relied heavily on the golden ball that he was carrying on his arm, however, it was deadly nonetheless.

Its speed was so great that not even Enel, someone who could move at the speed of lightning, could react to it or get out of its way.

9 Gomu Gomu No Jet Gatling: This Technique Was Used To Defeat Rob Lucci At Enies Lobby

One of the most iconic finishers of Monkey D. Luffy, Gomu Gomu no Jet Gatling was first used against the strongest of the CP-9, Rob Lucci. This technique became accessible to Luffy after he developed Gear Second and Gear Third to save Robin from falling into the palms of the Government.

This technique is a stronger version of the Gomu Gomu no Gatling, powered up by the strength of Gear Second.

8 Gomu Gomu no Giant Jet Shell: This Technique Was Used Against Gecko Moria

One of the rarest techniques used by Monkey D. Luffy, Gomu Gomu no Giant Jet Shell was utilized against Gecko Moria during their fight in the Thriller Bark arc.

This technique was especially powerful as it combined the usage of Gear Second and Gear Third. Its power was so tremendous that even after consuming a thousand shadows, Moria was unable to put up a fight and ultimately lost consciousness by being hit several times.

7 Gomu Gomu no Jet Pistol (With Haki): This Technique Was First Displayed Against A Pacifista

After completing his two-year training, Luffy gained access to all three types of Haki at a basic level. Thanks to this training, he gained monstrous strength and reached a whole new level.

The first proper demonstration of his Armament Haki came against a Pacifista and to everyone's surprise, he managed to take him down with just one hit of a Jet Pistol coated in Haki.

6 Gomu Gomu no Elephant Gatling: This Technique Was Used To Take Down Hody Jones

Just like Gear Second, Luffy had also improved his usage of Gear Third techniques after the time-skip and eliminated all of its drawbacks. Using it with Haki, he gained access to an array of new abilities such as Gomu Gomu no Elephant Gatling, which he used to defeat the main antagonist of the Fishman Island arc, Hody Jones.

This technique is quite similar to a regular Gatling, the only difference being that it is gigantified by Gear Third and strengthened further by the usage of Armament Haki.

5 Gomu Gomu no Grizzly Magnum: This Technique Was Used To Take Down Caesar Clown

Grizzly Magnum debuted against Caesar Clown, a former Marine scientist with a bounty of 300 million berries. This technique was strong enough to finish Caesar off in a single hit and overpowering his Shinokuni gas as well.

Grizzly Magnum is a stronger version of the regular Gomu Gomu no Bazooka, only stronger thanks to the usage of Haki and Gear Third.

4 Gomu Gomu no King Kong Gun: This Powerful Technique Was Strong Enough To Take Down Doflamingo

In an epic clash against the Shichibukai and King of Dressrosa, Donquixote Doflamingo, Luffy unleashed the power of his newest form, called Gear Fourth.

To beat Doflamingo, he relied on the strongest technique in his arsenal, called Gomu Gomu no King Kong Gun, and its power was so tremendous that it broke through all of Doflamingo's techniques and immediately knocked him out.

3 Gomu Gomu No Cannonball: This Technique Was Used To Defeat Charlotte Cracker

To overcome one of the Sweet Commanders of the Big Mom Pirates with a bounty of 860 million berries, Luffy relied on the power of Tankman.

Letting Cracker charge at him, he showed him his toughened defenses and countered his attack in a manner where the Sweet Commander was sent flying for miles. Gomu Gomu no Cannonball remains to be one of his strongest techniques to date.

2 Gomu Gomu no King Cobra: This Technique Was Powerful Enough To Take Down Charlotte Katakuri

Luffy fought Charlotte Katakuri in what was his toughest fight to date at the time and did quite well against him. After picking up the ability to use Future Sight Observation Haki, Luffy got closer to his level.

To even things out, he accessed a new form, called Snakeman, and used the technique called King Cobra to defeat Katakuri. Much like the other Snakeman techniques, King Cobra sees Luffy launch his fist at a tremendous speed and it keeps changing direction in the air and gaining momentum before it finally lands a powerful blow.

1 Gomu Gomu no Storm: This Technique Was Used To Finish Off Crocodile

One of the strongest attacks of Luffy before the time-skip, Gomu Gomu no Storm was first used against the leader of the Baroque Works, Sir Crocodile.

To perform this technique, Luffy uses Gomu Gomu no Fusen at first, and launches himself in the air at a blazing speed, followed by a barrage of punches boosted by the momentum he gained. This technique was strong enough to crush through Crocodile's Desert Pesado and defeat him.
